Nobo’s Muse is a conceptual art-pop band created with Judd Morrissey. The double single to paradise / all your names in one marks our first public music release together and extends our interdisciplinary practice into recorded sound.

Produced in collaboration with Mario Ávalos at Resonante Estudio in Mexico City, the release expands two original acoustic songs—written during shared residencies and travels in Hawaiʻi—into layered and immersive compositions. The songs trace parallel journeys across volcanic landscapes and personal thresholds, lingering on uncertainty, desire, and the softening of bodies over time.

Rather than functioning as a standalone album, this release exists as part of a larger installation and performance ecology that also includes to paradise / all your names in one (installation) and The Zone of Pure Doubt (live performance). The music circulates between these contexts: pressed on vinyl, activated in the gallery through turntables and birdsong, and performed live as part of extended, ritualized events.

As Nobo’s Muse, Judd and I approach pop as a vessel for intimacy, self-mythologization, and transformation—using song as a way to hold what is passing, unresolved, and still becoming.
